This presentation unpacks findings from a descriptive study of child welfare agencies’ practices in five states to identify and care for children with prenatal exposures to alcohol and other drugs. The presenters, Erin Ingoldsby, Ph.D. and Penny Putnam Collins, MPA, will examine ways to improve training, screening, documentation and collaborative care planning with caseworkers and families, drawing insights from surveys and interviews with staff and caregivers and discussions with expert stakeholders. You'll learn of practical action steps for professionals, families and stakeholders, as well as resources and tools that are currently under development. Your input will be encouraged.
