Description

Parenting a child with an FASD has its own unique challenges, and for blended families, those challenges can be magnified. What are we doing to provide support for parents stepping into this complicated family structure? What about when a child from one family becomes a step-sibling to a child with an FASD? Are we providing adequate support for their unique experiences and challenges? During this session, you'll hear from Michelle Stiller Bradley, Chief Program Officer at Hope RISING Clinic for Prenatal Substance Exposure. Michelle has spent decades working with children and families, in addition to raising her own children. Michelle quickly learned that all of that experience was inadequate when it came to meeting the needs of her own blended family impacted by FASD. A sharing of information, ideas and stories will help us work together to improve supports for blended families.
