Name
From Zoom to Classroom: A Collaborative Approach to Student Success
Date & Time
Wednesday, October 13, 2021, 1:15 PM - 2:30 PM
Dr. Alecia Mobley, Ph. D
Description

Our kids have been through a lot -- early research suggests that students with disabilities were disproportionately impacted by the pandemic’s disruptions. How can parents and educators work together to help students transition from Zoom to the classroom? When it comes to navigating the school system in 2021 and beyond, Richfield Public Schools have established a wraparound approach that welcomes input from key players in the student's support network. In this session, Dr. Mobley will share important learnings from this approach. It's important to know what can be expected from a student's special education team, important things to consider for this transition, and how to make a plan (and a back-up plan!) during these uncertain times. This session will give you the tools and information you need to harness a growth mindset and help young learners get what they need at school in today's world.
